The Gonzaga University Institute for Action Against Hate* is soliciting submissions for the eighth volume of the peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary Journal of Hate Studies.

We are interested in articles from various disciplines that address the topic of “The Other Among Us.” We are particularly interested in articles that focus on immigration, refugees, or second-gene ration peoples who may have been born in one country but are still seen as being representatives of another, tourists, and others who cross national borders. However, articles are also encouraged from a range of perspectives on engagement or disengagement with "the other" in our society, culture, and lives.  We also continue to accept articles related to teaching about hate in the classroom or strategies for combating it. We would like to extend a special invitation to scholars from disciplines such as history, psychology, sociology, communications, philosophy, women’s studies, anthropology, political science, economics, literature, and religious studies. Submissions are welcome from all disciplines.

Submissions are due by February 1, 20010, and should be between 5000-10,000 words. Submissions should include one hard copy and an electronic copy in MS Word format. Please do not submit PDF files. Submissions should be presented in APA format and contain endnotes rather than footnotes.
